I first found the stairs at what was then called Glenwood Falls in Minneapolis, MN when I was about 10 years old. Art lessons were held in the upper park, at the top of the stairs. Thickly wooded on both sides, the stairway was like a cool dark tunnel. There are 32 steps. My best friend and I called the 16th step our "place for telling secrets." Steps series
