I've conjured up the images of two of my New England ancestors in the negative spaces between some bare winter trees. They are Captain Isaac Johnson and his bride, Elizabeth Porter, in photo-etched twill. Captain Johnson was killed by the Narragansett Indians at Narragansett Fort (West Kingston, RI) December 19, 1675.
